How do you raise a 35 foot aluminum flagpole? Project started several months ago with the donated flagpole arriving courtesy of Woodmen Life. A 4 foot deep hole, 3 feet in diameter is dug in front of the church followed by the implantation of a 4 foot long 1 foot diameter corrugated sleeve. The hole around the sleeve is filled with 25 cubic feet of concrete. The pole is then levered vertically courtesy of Case Tree Service and sand is packed around the pole. Finally, the 4 foot square pad is poured.
